Somalia Youth for Peace and Development Organization (SOYPED)
Somalia Youth for Peace and Development Organization (SOYPED) Is a Somalia registered in digamous non-governmental and non-profit making organization (NGO), instituted staff, and managed by a faculty of Somali professionals. Conceptualized and discussed since the year 2014, the organization was officially launched early 2017 by a group of Somali intellectuals concerned with the aim of promoting peace, development and empowerment among Somali youths in Somalia.

Our Vision
The Organization’s work is inspired by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on youth, peace and security.
Our Mission
SOYPED’s mission is to empower Somalia youth to become active agents of positive change in their communities.
Management
The management team of the organization is led by the program manager who is responsible for implementation of the projects at the field level.
Our Focus Areas
Protection
SOYPED is ensuring Protection of human rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups, such as children, women, ethnic minorities and internally displaced persons (IDPs), Minority and marginalized empowerment and civil rights advocacy and Gender exclusion and gender-based violence advocacy.
Education
One of the core believes behind SOYPED is the belief that only long-term sustainable development programs will address the problems facing our communities in Somalia. We realize that one quick project won’t be able to have a lasting impact.
Food Security
Program assists conflict-affected communities to rehabilitate and restore their livelihoods and strengthen local food sovereignty based on sustainable agricultural practices and development of local livelihood opportunities.
